ఉక్రెయిన్‌ అధ్యక్షుడు జెలెన్‌స్కీ సంచలన ప్రకటన చేశారు. అమెరికాతో మినరల్స్‌ డీల్‌కు సిద్ధమేనని తెలిపారు. తాము అమెరికాకు రుణపడి ఉంటామని కూడా వరుస ట్వీట్లు చేశారు. ఉక్రెయిన్‌ నిజమైన శాంతిని కోరుకుంటోందని.. అందుకోమే తాము అమెరికాకు వచ్చామని తెలిపారు. అంతకుముందు జెలెన్‌స్కీ ట్రంప్‌తో సమావేశమయ్యారు. రష్యా నుంచి తమకు రక్షణ కల్పించాలని.. ట్రంప్‌, వాన్స్‌లపై జెలెన్‌స్కీ ఒత్తిడి చేశారు.

అంతేకాదు జెలెన్‌స్కీ ఖనిజ సంపద ఒప్పందంపై సంతకం చేయకుండా వెళ్లిపోయారన్న వార్తలు కూడా వచ్చాయి. దీంతో అమెరికా, ఉక్రెయిన్‌ దేశాధినేతల మధ్య వాగ్వాదం జరిగినట్లు పలు వార్తాసంస్థలు పేర్కొన్నాయి. అయితే చివరికీ తాము ఈ ఖనిజ సంపంద ఒప్పందానికి సిద్ధమేనని జెలెన్‌స్కీ ప్రకటించడం ప్రాధాన్యం సంతరించుకుంది. '' ఖనిజాల ఒప్పందంపై సంతకం చేసేందుకు మేము సిద్ధమే. భద్రకు గ్యారంటీ ఇచ్చేందుకు ఇది తొలి అడుగు అవుతుంది. కానీ ఇది సరిపోదు.

మాకు అంతకన్నా ఎక్కువ కావాలి. సెక్యూరిటీ గ్యారెంటీలు లేకుండా కాల్పుల విరమణ ఒప్పందం ఉక్రెయిన్‌కు చాలా ప్రమాదకరం. గత మూడేళ్లుగా మేము పోరాడుతున్నాం. అమెరికా తమ వైపే ఉందని ఉక్రెయిన్ ప్రజలు తెలుసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని'' ఎక్స్‌లో తెలిపారు. అంతేకాదు అమెరికాకు తాము రుణపడి ఉంటామని కూడా మరో ట్వీట్ చేశారు.
