BIG BREAKING: కోల్‌కతాలో భారీ భూకంపం

పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ రాష్ట్రంలోని కోల్‌కతాలో భారీ భూకంపం సంభవించింది. రిక్టర్ స్కేల్‌పై 5.1 తీవ్రతతో నగరంలో చుట్టుపక్కల భూమి కంపించింది. దీంతో కోల్‌కత్తా వాసులు భయాందోళనలకు గురైయ్యారు. గతకొన్ని రోజుల క్రితం ఢిల్లీలో భూకంపం వచ్చిన విషయం తెలిసిందే.

పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ రాష్ట్రంలోని కోల్‌కతా సమీపంలో భారీ భూకంపం సంభవించింది. బంగాళాఖాతం సముద్ర తీరంలో భూమి ఒక్కసారిగా కంపించింది. రిక్టర్ స్కేల్‌పై 5.1 తీవ్రతతో కోల్‌కతా నగరం చుట్టుపక్కల భూకంపం సంభవించిందని నేషనల్ సెంటర్ ఫర్ సీస్మోలజీ తెలిపింది. మంగళవారం ఉదయం 6 గంటలకు ఈ ఎర్త్‌కేక్ ప్రజలను భయాందోళనకు గురిచేసింది.

భూమి కుదుపులకు లోనై ఊగిపోయింది. బంగాళాఖాతం సముద్రభూగర్భంతో 91 కిలో మీటర్ల లోతులో భూకంప కేంద్ర నుంచి ప్రకంపనలు పుట్టుకొచ్చాయని శాస్త్రవేత్తలు చెబుతున్నారు. అయితే సముద్రతీరంలో భూకంపం సంభవించింద కాబట్టి.. ప్రాథమిక నివేదికల ప్రకారం సునామీ ముప్పు లేదా భారీ నష్టం వాటిల్లలేదని తెలుస్తోంది. గతకొన్ని రోజుల క్రితం ఢిల్లీలో భూకంపం వచ్చిన విషయం తెలిసిందే.
