Nariman : దేశ ప్రఖ్యాత న్యాయనిపుణుడు, సీనియర్ సుప్రీంకోర్టు(Supreme Court) న్యాయవాది ఫాలి.ఎస్.నారిమన్(Fali Sam Nariman) (95) కన్నుమూశారు. ఆయన ఢిల్లీ(Delhi) లో తుది శ్వాస విడిచారు. నారిమన్‌కు న్యాయవాదిగా 70 ఏళ్లకు పైగా అనుభవం ఉంది. నవంబర్ 1950లో నారిమన్ బాంబే హైకోర్టు(Bombay High Court) లో న్యాయవాదిగా పేరును నమోదు చేసుకున్నారు. 1961లో ఆయనకు సీనియర్ న్యాయవాది హోదా లభించింది. బాంబే హైకోర్టు తర్వాత, నారిమన్ 1972లో సుప్రీంకోర్టులో ప్రాక్టీస్ ప్రారంభించారు. మే 1972లో భారత అదనపు సొలిసిటర్ జనరల్‌గా నియమితులయ్యారు.

As a raconteur &after dinner speaker, #fali was matchless. It was he who said that using phrase “horse trading” when humans defect is an insult to horses, very loyal animals. He wld dig out nuggets of history &marry them incomparably with his wit when speaking.

జనవరి 1991లో నారిమన్‌కు పద్మభూషణ్‌(Padma Bhushan) పురస్కారం లభించింది. 1991 నుంచి 2010 వరకు బార్ అసోసియేషన్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా(Bar Association Of India) అధ్యక్షుడిగా ఉన్నారు. నారిమన్ 1989 నుంచి 2005 వరకు ఇంటర్నేషనల్ ఛాంబర్ ఆఫ్ కామర్స్‌కు చెందిన ఇంటర్నేషనల్ కోర్ట్ ఆఫ్ ఆర్బిట్రేషన్ వైస్-ఛైర్మెన్‌గా కూడా ఉన్నారు. 1995 నుంచి 1997 వరకు జెనీవాలోని ఇంటర్నేషనల్ కమిషన్ ఆఫ్ జ్యూరిస్ట్స్ ఎగ్జిక్యూటివ్ కమిటీకి ఛైర్మన్‌గా కూడా పని చేశారు.

A great son of India passes away. Not just one of the greatest lawyers of our country but one of the finest human beings who stood like a colossus above all . The corridors of the court will never be the same without him.
